Day 1 from my Trip to Tokyo (includes when I had arrived and the next day... so day and a half?).
A lot had happened the first day, both good and bad, but still I enjoyed it nonetheless! After arriving at the airport (and being majorly) jet lagged, my host family accepted me with open arms. I found out that there was another girl staying at the home, her name is Kata and she really helped me and we became pretty close friends!
Shibuya is loud.
It's so fricken loud in Shibuya that you can barely hear your own thoughts. I don't know if it's because it's the mix between cars, or those countless advertisements they have on the buildings. Whatever it is, I didn't enjoy it very much. (I was raised in the rural type part of a city)
Also, Japan is so humid that I thought I was going to die. You think you're ready for it, but it still punches you square in the jaw. It's so bloody hot in Japan. I thought I knew humidity, but Japan tops it off.
I saw a bunch of stuff on the first day and got a huge amount of cultural shock. (for example you stand on the left side of the escalators if you don't want to walk up the stairs. The people that do, you walk on the right side)
