A Day in Tokyo Day 4

こんいちは!アンバです~

So my fourth day started out as relaxing and an interesting one. A few of us finished classes at 12 pm, so we all decided to head over to Akihabara for a few hours before returning back to the school for a Japanese EF Meetup. Pretty much it was a meetup with the "locals" and such. Ahh, but it wasn't, however, I still enjoyed myself and I made a few friends I wouldn't trade the world for.

Welcome to Electric City-- Akihabara

Everyone but me and David weren't interested in it, so we pretty much sat out and looked around some of the doors. As the time was approaching to head back, we did. Apparently the party had already started, but it wasn't much. It was mostly us foreigners in a tiny room with at least 3 or 4 Japanese students. (Looking around 20-24 years old) We watched a video on a dance, we played a bit of games, and then decided to head out to Izakaya.

A pub.

What Kata and I have is Ginger Ale and Yakitori
Let me tell you-- I had a blast! Normally, I hate social gatherings because of the immense amount of noise, and even though it was loud as heck, I was involved.

To this day I am still amazed over this experience. So many of us kids/young adults are able to come together with so many different backgrounds and cultures and languages... and yet we're able to communicate like we've known each other for years. We all have a common interest, Japanese/Japan. I have no words to describe how I feel about everyone I met, it's such an eye opening experience to know that everyone is human, and we're closer to each other than we think. We just gotta look at what we all have in common and find out we're not that different after all.

I love you all.
At 9 pm... we said our goodbyes and Kata and I left to go home...

I love you my fellow friends I made in EF, and thank you so much EF Tokyo for letting me meet such wonderful and beautiful people. <3
