When I first started to learn Japanese, 6 years ago, I was super excited over the fact I was learning a new language that actually interested me. Sadly however, I soon realized It wasn't as easy as I thought it was going to be. This resulted in me dropping it completely.
However, that soon changed when I was in 7th grade, I was on a website that talked about studying abroad programs in Japan, and out of interest, I clicked on it and started to do some research.
I'm glad I did.
Fast-forward to 2015, now 17 years old, I'm still loving the culture just as much. Now that I'm going there in a few weeks, (2 and a half weeks, can you believe it?! I can't!) I can envision myself doing something related to traveling abroad with my life.
Even if I turn out to dislike Japan, I won't dislike the memories and hard motivation it has given me. Even if I am FAR from fluent, and how I can barely hold a conversation, practice makes perfect, and that's all I lack. Practice and self motivation.

Moving that speech aside, I tried something new with my comic, I've had a major art block for the past few months and I wasn't able to make something good, so instead of trying to draw on my computer, I sat down and did it on my notebook.
I'm pretty happy with how it came out. Clearly, I will get white paper, and most likely, inking pens, but for now, I might be doing it this way, for the sake of actually making the stuff I enjoy. Comics, blog posts, and YouTube videos.
